The Mai Tai could well be one of, if not, the most iconic rum cocktail. With differing accounts of its origins, over the course of time many variations of this popular cocktail have emerged.

Our Mai Tai uses our 3-Year White rum as a base with our 12-Year aged rum floated on top to give a complex, but refreshing flavor to this classic cocktail.


  • 1.5 oz BACOO Rum 3-Year White
  • 0.75 oz Orange Curaçao
  • 0.75 oz lime juice
  • 0.5 oz Orgeat
  • 1 oz BACOO Rum 12-Year
  • Pineapple, mint and cherries for garnish


  • Add BACOO Rum 3-Year White, curaçao, lime juice and orgeat to a shaker with ice and shake gently
  • Pour into a double rocks glass and float the BACOO Rum 12-Year on the top
  • Garnish with mint sprig, pineapple wedge and cherry
